Hockey Week Across America kicked off a week of hockey-related festivities with Hockey Day in America on Sunday, February 19, which featured live coverage of four NHL games. Not to be outdone by the NHL, Princeton Youth Hockey Association (PYHA) celebrated Hockey Day in America with an ADM Clinic for 8U players, attended by over 40 players from PYHA and the New Jersey Stars.

USA Hockey ADM Regional Manager Rich Hansen and AAHA’s Gump Whiteside coordinated the clinic, which consisted of six small area skills stations spaced across the ice at Princeton University’s Baker Rink. Assisting them for the day were PYHA coaches John Marley and Adam Wetherall; Princeton University men’s hockey players Jackson Cressey, Joey Fallon, Jordan Fogarty, Jeremy Germain and Derek Topatigh; and Princeton University women’s hockey players MacKenzie Ebel, Julia Edgar and Molly Strabley.

Princeton Youth Hockey Association (PYHA) is a member of USA Hockey and the New Jersey Youth Hockey League. PYHA is a Tier II travel hockey program fielding teams from Mite (U8) through Midget (U18), in addition to a learn-to-play-hockey program called Tiger Cubs that is designed for players between the ages of 4 and 7. PYHA is a non-profit, volunteer-based organization that is privileged to call historic Baker Rink at Princeton University its home rink.
